Cache the Stash Challenge

On August 8, 2015 Oregon’s Mt. Hood Territory, with the help of a handfull of fantastic volunteers from the local caching community, launched the Cache the Stash Coin Challenge (CtS). The CtS was a six-community challenge created to celebrate 15 years of geocaching. Which is an activity that started right here in Clackamas County - Place Where It All Began

The challenge kick-off was the largest geocaching event held in Oregon to date, with over 600 people participating. If you were there for it thank you! Cachers who completed all six community challenges received a set of coins that fit together to form a nifty cube. See it below in all its spinning, shimmering glory.

It’s been over two years since the CtS went live and activity along the trail has slowed. It is with a bit of sadness that we have decided to retire the challenge as of Sept. 30, 2017. If you are still working on completing your cube there is still time. But don't dilly dally! There is only a limited supply of coins remaining. And please respect the coin set per household rule.

Cache on friends!
