Winery Events In Mt. Hood Territory

Oregon is famous for its wine, and Mt. Hood Territory is filled with incredible wineries. Here are some local events celebrating these businesses.

Oregon Wine Month | May

May is a wonderful time for wine lovers in Mt. Hood Territory. It's so perfect, in fact, that it has been formally designated as Oregon Wine Month. The excitement peaks Memorial Day weekend, when our wineries have extended tasting hours and special offerings to accommodate friends and family enjoying the long weekend. 

Memorial Day Weekend Wine Tasting | May

Wineries throughout Mt. Hood Territory have made a tradition of offering extended hours, discounts and special events on Memorial Day Weekend. Enjoy the long weekend at a winery event, meet the winemaker and maybe even find a new favorite. 

St. Josef's Winery | Canby
Open Fri-Sun 12-5pm
New wine releases and old favorites from one of Oregon's Wine Pioneers celebrating all weekend long. On Sunday, join in for the Bike Ride, a 13 mile non-serious bike ride with the winemaker starts at the crack of 11am followed by lunch and wine. Bring your own bike! There's no fee to join the ride. Or if biking's not your thing, live music starts at the winery pation at 12pm, plus delicious BBQ will be available until it runs out. Reservations requested.

Hanson Vineyards | Woodburn
Open Sat-Mon 12-5pm
Their tasting garden is both serene and beautiful, and the scenic drive there makes for a lovely prelude to tasting their great array of wines. They will be debuting a new release this weekend and feature several of their recently released wines.

Whiskey Hill Winery & Postlewait's Vineyards | Canby
Open Sat-Mon 12-4:30pm
Enjoy a tasting flight of estate grown, Willamette Valley wines on their immaculate grounds with your friends and family. Tip: Make sure to try their white pinot noir.

Beckham Estate Vineyard | Sherwood
Open by appointment only
This vineyard is known for their amphora wines. Winemaker Andrew Beckham, an educated ceramicist, makes both the amphora wines and the nearly 1,000 amphora pots those wines are produced in. For a tasting appointment, you may contact them by phone at 971-645-3466.

Forest Edge Vineyard | Oregon City
Open Sat-Mon 12-5pm
For those interested in wine but perhaps a bit intimidated, Forest Edge gives a warm welcome. Chat with winemakers Jan and Ron during your tasting, who will tell you about their winemaking process centered around permaculture principles. All of their wines will be available to taste during extended hours for Memorial Day Weekend.

Campbell Lane Winery | West Linn
Open Sat-Sun 12-5:30pm
All veterans receive a complimentary glass of wine over Memorial Day Weekend as a thank you for your service. Visit the tasting room and sample Willamette Valley wines with views of Mt. Hood and their Stoneridge Vineyard. Reservation required for live music event 5-9pm on Friday, May 26.

Thanksgiving Weekend Wine Tasting | November
Wine Toast at the Fire Ring

Each year the wineries of Mt. Hood Territory have their own tradition of extending their tasting room hours during the Thanksgiving weekend. So, after recuperating from the best meal of the year, grab your relatives and friends and head to one of the wineries all across Mt. Hood Territory.

Some have amazing views, most have heat lamps to keep you warm and cozy, and all have incredible wines to tantalize any taste bud. With the wineries extended tasting room hours you’ll have extra time to discover a new favorite wine or winery and maybe even get some early gifts for the December holidays.



Tumwater Vineyard | West Linn
Open Black Friday from 12-5pm | Open to the public Saturday 11:30am-5pm (normally members only) | Sunday 12-5:30pm

Expanded hours invite you to unwind in the Barrel House wine tasting room surrounded by 23 acres of vineyard and unbeatable views of Mt. Hood. 

Pete’s Mountain Vineyard | West Linn
Open Sunday 12-5:30pm

Turn in for the cold season to taste inside a rustic candlelit barn, or gather around a fire pit on the patio. Charcuterie boards available to complement your wine tasting experience. Reservation only.

Oswego Hills | West Linn
Open Fri-Sun 12-5pm

Enjoy new releases and extended hours at this charming, family owned winery. Please call ahead for groups of 10 or more.

King's Raven Winery | Oregon City
Open Fri-Sun 12-5pm

Stop into this lovely family owned winery and celebrate the holiday with the release of a special found barrel of 2018 Maréchal Foch. Get started on your holiday shopping with special deals and discounts.

Whiskey Hill Winery | Canby
Open Fri-Sun 12-5pm

Enjoy a heated outdoor tasting area, and be sure to inquire about their wine flight special for the month of November. Snacks and charcuterie available for purchase. Bring your own picnic if you wish (Thanksgiving leftovers, anyone?).

St Josef's Winery | Canby
Open Fri-Sun 12-5pm

Get ready for the holidays with new releases at one of the pioneer wineries in the Northwest. Taste the new and old vintages with the winemakers. Reservations for groups of seven or more.

Hanson Vineyards | Woodburn
Open Friday by appointment | Sat-Sun 12-5pm

Family farm meets estate winery! Stop in to try the three new wines added to their tasting line up. Reservations for groups of six or more.
