May is a wonderful time for wine lovers in Mt. Hood Territory. It's so perfect, in fact, that it has been formally designated as Oregon Wine Month. The excitement peaks Memorial Day weekend, when our wineries have extended tasting hours and special offerings to accommodate friends and family enjoying the long weekend.
The best way to celebrate Oregon Wine Month is with the NEW Mt. Hood Territory Wine Trail! The Mt. Hood Territory Wine Trail is our mobile passport program that connects the region’s wineries. Wineries throughout Mt. Hood Territory have made a tradition of offering extended hours, discounts and special events on Memorial Day Weekend. Enjoy the long weekend at a winery event, meet the winemaker and maybe even find a new favorite.
St. Josef's Winery | Canby
Open Fri-Sun 12-5pm
New wine releases and old favorites from one of Oregon's Wine Pioneers celebrating all weekend long. On Sunday, join in for the Bike Ride, a 13 mile non-serious bike ride with the winemaker starts at the crack of 11am followed by lunch and wine. Bring your own bike! There's no fee to join the ride. Or if biking's not your thing, live music starts at the winery pation at 12pm, plus delicious BBQ will be available until it runs out. Reservations requested.
Hanson Vineyards | Woodburn

Their tasting garden is both serene and beautiful, and the scenic drive there makes for a lovely prelude to tasting their great array of wines. They will be debuting a new release this weekend and feature several of their recently released wines.
Whiskey Hill Winery & Postlewait's Vineyards | Canby

Enjoy a tasting flight of estate grown, Willamette Valley wines on their immaculate grounds with your friends and family. Tip: Make sure to try their white pinot noir.
Beckham Estate Vineyard | Sherwood
Open by appointment only
This vineyard is known for their amphora wines. Winemaker Andrew Beckham, an educated ceramicist, makes both the amphora wines and the nearly 1,000 amphora pots those wines are produced in. For a tasting appointment, you may contact them by phone at 971-645-3466.
Forest Edge Vineyard | Oregon City

For those interested in wine but perhaps a bit intimidated, Forest Edge gives a warm welcome. Chat with winemakers Jan and Ron during your tasting, who will tell you about their winemaking process centered around permaculture principles. All of their wines will be available to taste during extended hours for Memorial Day Weekend.
Campbell Lane Winery | West Linn

All veterans receive a complimentary glass of wine over Memorial Day Weekend as a thank you for your service. Visit the tasting room and sample Willamette Valley wines with views of Mt. Hood and their Stoneridge Vineyard. Reservation required for live music event 5-9pm on Friday, May 26.
