EVENT SPONSORSHIPS

Sponsorships from $250 to $2,000 can be awarded. The level of sponsorship offered will be based on considerations that include:

• Length of event (single or multiple consecutive days or event season/series)
• Duration of event (number of hours)
• Attendance size
• Scale/scope of promotion
• Open to the general public
• Likelihood of drawing out-of-area attendees
• Alignment with Tourism’s Strategic Priorities

Priority will be given to submissions that meet the following:

• New events 
• Existing events with plans exist to grow and enhance.
• Events where organizers will be promoting their event to diverse groups and/or audiences outside the region.

Event sponsorships are only available to event organizers. Organizations are eligible to receive one (1) event sponsorship per calendar year quarter. Sponsorships are not available for events primarily promoted fundraisers. Requests are individually considered and past sponsorships are not a guarantee of future funding. Requests for sponsorships will be considered no more than six (6) months in advance of event. Requests must be submitted at least 60 days prior to event start date. Sponsorships will be offered while funding is available.

Important Timeframes To Consider

• Requests will be reviewed and responded to within two (2) weeks of submission.
• Organizers of sponsored events must submit a post-event report within 30 days after the event. 

• Clackamas County Tourism shall be acknowledged as an event sponsor commensurate to the level of funding provided and in alignment with sponsorships outlined in the event’s sponsorship packet, if applicable.
  
  
• Organizers of events who are approved for sponsorship will be required to submit a Clackamas County Vendor Packet with and IRS W-9 form with the assistance of tourism staff.
  
  
• Organizers agree to submit a brief post-event report within 30 days of the conclusion of the event that includes; highlights, an economic impact evaluation, available attendance data, and lessons learned that might make the event even more successful in the future. Sponsorship recipients give permission to Clackamas County Tourism to use images and quotes from the final report in print and digital media for the purposes of reporting and promoting our work and the destination. Photo credit will be given to the photographer.
  
  
• Sponsorships will be offered while funding is available.

Clackamas County requires a Vendor Packet and an IRS W-9 form to be submitted prior to sponsorship payment. If your organization is not currently set up with this Clackamas County paperwork, Tourism staff will work with your to complete this first step.

  • Invoice must be on official letterhead and include the following information:
    • Invoice to: Clackamas County Office of Tourism
    • Invoice Number
    • Date
    • Amount Due
    • Description (ex: "Silver Sponsorship for XYZ Event on Date")
    • Payee's Federal Tax ID #
    • Instructions for remission* and contact information
• Credit card is the fastest and *preferred payment method, but arrangements for ACH payment can be made.

  • Clackamas County Office of Tourism should be acknowleged as an event sponsor commensurate to the level of funding provided and in alignment with sponsorships outlined in the event’s sponsorship packet.

• Add To The Office Of Tourism Events Calendar
  • The Office of Tourism Marketing Team puts ad-spend behind our calendar to direct visitors to that specific page which averages around 8k views per month.
    • Please add your event to our calendar as soon as possible for additional reach and marketing support.
    • We will also add your event to Travel Oregon's event calendar for added promotion.
