EVENTS

Events in Oregon’s Mt. Hood Territory offer year-round festivals and activities for the whole family in the greater Portland area. Winter’s event calendar is full of snowboarding and skiing events at Timberline Lodge & Ski Area and Mt. Hood Skibowl, plus holiday happenings at Christmas tree farms. Spring events burst upon the scene with blooming flowers and baby farm animals galore. Summertime is filled with an abundance of outdoor activities, festivals, music events, and Farmers' Markets. Celebrate the fall bounty as local communities provide family fun harvest festivals, corn mazes, pumpkin patches, and haunted trails. The Clackamas County Fairgrounds & Event Center offers a variety of events throughout the year, including the Clackamas County Fair and Rodeo. See below for upcoming events, or click the links in the text above for more information on some of our seasonal favorite activities.

Line in the Cloud is on view at Artspace, May 25–August 2. Please join us for the opening reception, Saturday, May 25 from 4–6 p.m. The latest exhibition at Artspace features new mesmerizing photographic works by artist Akihiko Miyoshi. Showing in Artspace’s annex gallery are multimedia works by artists Rose Dickson, Sarah Meadows, Dina No, Julia Stoops, and Joan Truckenbrod. In a whirl of artistic approaches, material explorations, and technological experiments, the artists in Line in the Cloud explore what is hidden, lost, and revealed. Artspace is the only nonprofit art gallery in Lake Oswego, and is located at 380 A Avenue in Lake Oswego, Oregon. The gallery is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and by appointment. For more information about the exhibition, please visit artscouncillo.org.

Palm Reading Basics Cup of Tea

Along with learning the basics of Palmistry, each student will also leave class with their own personal palm reading. In class, students will use their own hands as the subject of learning, and each student will build a palm reading booklet based on the lines, size, and dimensions of their own hands to discover what it reveals about them and their future.

Teen Game Night Ledding Library

Time: 5:30 -7:30pm

Get your game on! The new Teen Room Xbox X and PS5 consoles will be available to teen gamers from 5:30 -7:30 pm. Teens can play games already downloaded to the consoles and any games available for checkout. This event is limited to teens, grades 6 – 12, with a LINCC library card.

Farmers Markets Throughout Clackamas County

Visit our list of area Farmers Markets open through out the week from April through October. The farmers markets in Mt. Hood Territory are packed with delicious local offerings, eye catching arts and foot-stomping live music. Each community's market is as unique as the towns themselves, and all showcase the impressive bounty available in Oregon. Saunter past booths highlighting local produce, prepared foods, specialty drinks and local honey. Roam aisles of brightly colored flowers, handmade products and arts and crafts. Arrive on bike, foot or by car, and bring your appetite and basket ready to fill up on fresh, local veggies and fragrant fruits.

Learn to Kayak Class Produced By: REI

This class will introduce you to the fundamentals of kayaking in a comfortable setting and at a relaxed pace. You will learn about proper strokes and paddling technique, and get the chance to practice these new skills on a beautiful, local waterway. REI's expert guides will also teach the basics of water safety, trip planning, and how to have an enjoyable time on the water. This is a great way to build a new skill set or improve upon what you already know about kayaking. REI provides kayaks, paddles and all necessary safety equipment.
