Events in Oregon’s Mt. Hood Territory offer year-round festivals and activities for the whole family in the greater Portland area. Winter’s event calendar is full of snowboarding and skiing events at Timberline Lodge & Ski Area and Mt. Hood Skibowl, plus holiday happenings at Christmas tree farms. Spring events burst upon the scene with blooming flowers and baby farm animals galore. Summertime is filled with an abundance of outdoor activities, festivals, music events, and Farmers' Markets. Celebrate the fall bounty as local communities provide family fun harvest festivals, corn mazes, pumpkin patches, and haunted trails. The Clackamas County Fairgrounds & Event Center offers a variety of events throughout the year, including the Clackamas County Fair and Rodeo. Line in the Cloud is on view at Artspace, May 25–August 2. Please join us for the opening reception, Saturday, May 25 from 4–6 p.m. The latest exhibition at Artspace features new mesmerizing photographic works by artist Akihiko Miyoshi. Showing in Artspace’s annex gallery are multimedia works by artists Rose Dickson, Sarah Meadows, Dina No, Julia Stoops, and Joan Truckenbrod. In a whirl of artistic approaches, material explorations, and technological experiments, the artists in Line in the Cloud explore what is hidden, lost, and revealed. Artspace is the only nonprofit art gallery in Lake Oswego, and is located at 380 A Avenue in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Along with learning the basics of Palmistry, each student will also leave class with their own personal palm reading. In class, students will use their own hands as the subject of learning, and each student will build a palm reading booklet based on the lines, size, and dimensions of their own hands to discover what it reveals about them and their future.

This class will introduce you to the fundamentals of kayaking in a comfortable setting and at a relaxed pace. You will learn about proper strokes and paddling technique, and get the chance to practice these new skills on a beautiful, local waterway. REI's expert guides will also teach the basics of water safety, trip planning, and how to have an enjoyable time on the water. This is a great way to build a new skill set or improve upon what you already know about kayaking. REI provides kayaks, paddles and all necessary safety equipment.
