If someone special in your life classifies themselves as a geek, then Things from Another World in Milwaukie is where you will want to do all of your shopping for them. Things from Another World is an incredible shop with a great selection of comics from all the major publishers as well as some top-notch smaller houses. What is really exciting though is the selection of toys. They have action figures that are some of the most incredible reproductions you will ever see. The store has great history, as it's been in downtown Milwaukie for more than 20 years.
Of course this is already hallowed ground for comics enthusiasts, as their shop is right across the street from Dark Horse Comics, publishers of some of the biggest (and most awesome) titles ever. It's kind of like the comic book version of farm to table, the books practically just get walked across the street (ok, that might be a bit of a stretch). Being a central component of downtown Milwaukie, Things From Another World has been part of the destination's resurgence in recent years. The area is now thriving with other great shops as well as restaurants and events.
