Snow Play

The Mountain is a jolly good place to play in the winter – for families and extreme adventurers alike. Ski, snowboard, go snowmobiling, trek on snowshoe, cross country ski. Treat the kids to tubing, sledding, snowball fights and hot chocolate. Build a snowman, snow fort or igloo. Make snow angels. Rent the equipment you need. Take lessons or a guided tour. Carve it up!

Mt. Hood Skibowl shines with the largest night ski area in the nation. Amp your downhill style at Cosmic Tubing where you can race down a snow tube hill illuminated by 600,000+ colored LED lights. Go expert on the area’s 34 black diamond runs, the most of any resort in Oregon.

Sample the groomed runs and trails at Timberline Lodge and Ski Area, providing the longest ski season in North America. Take to Summit Ski Area’s beginner trails and runs, and their Snow Bunny sliding area and Sno Park. Let fly your tricks and freestyle on Timberline’s half pipe. Telemark Mt. Hood’s backcountry. 

Rentals and instruction are available through Mt. Hood Adventure, Otto’s Ski and Mountain Bike Shop and others. Let someone else drive – Mt. Hood Express has room for your skis, boards, and gear.
