Stay: Government Camp

Government Camp has some amazing choices when it comes to places to stay. Hotels, a lodge, cabins and vacation rentals are all options when staying in this community on Mt. Hood.

1. Best Western Mt. Hood Inn

The Best Western Mt. Hood Inn is a popular option for visitors looking for the amenities of a hotel brand they know, plus the proximity to literally all the fun that can be had on Mt. Hood.

2. Huckleberry Inn

Talk about centrally located, Huckleberry Inn is located right in the middle of it all on the main road through the community. You can choose from a standard room or one with a kitchen, although their onsite restaurant is so good, you may not need the kitchen.

3. Collin's Lake Resort

If you're looking for a bit of luxury, then Collins Lake Resort fits the bill. Their many 2-3 bedroom vacation rentals have all the comforts of home and then some. The resort is close to Mt. Hood Skibowl, making it an ideal summer or winter destination.

4. Timberline Lodge

No roundup of Government Camp lodging is complete without this icon of Oregon. Located 6,000 feet up the south flank of Mt. Hood, the Timberline Lodge is a historic destination for both summer and winter recreators looking to stay and play in the same spot.

5. Mt. Hood Vacation Rentals

Sometimes you still want the comforts of home without having to be in your own home. Mt. Hood Vacation Rentals has many options in and around Government Camp that range from rustic to luxurious.

6. All Seasons Vacation Rentals

Nestled amidst towering trees, some with mountain views or along rushing water, the many options from All Season Vacation Rentals are the definition of a retreat. Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway or a family gathering, you'll find the perfect setting.

7. Camping

Government Camp and the surrounding Mt. Hood National Forest offer some of the most beautiful landscapes in Oregon. Sometimes you just need to spend as much time outdoors as possible, and camping is the only way to meet that need. Fortunately there are many options in and around Govy.
