Oregon City's Craft Beverage Scene

Coin Toss Beer tasting flight brewery in Oregons Mt. Hood Territory

The craft beverage movement is strong in Oregon's Mt. Hood Territory, but one community in particular is booming with innovative brewers making unique beers, ciders, and spirits. That community is Oregon City. With 3 breweries, 1 cidery and 2 distilleries, the makers culture is thriving in this city and the region is benefiting from the fruits of their labor...literally! Check out the round-up below and utilize the free Mt. Hood Territory Tap Trail mobile passport for great discounts at all of these locations.

12 Bridge Ciderworks -

Always carrying 12 craft ciders as part of their 25 taps which also carry beer and wine. This 1,200 square foot tasting area has plenty of room for tasting, games, sports watching and even room for your furry pup. Next to several restaurants that you can order food from and have walked over to you while you continue tasting, it's a great spot to hang with friends and enjoy any beverage you like.

Coin Toss Brewing

Named after the coin toss that took place in Oregon City to determine the name of what is now called Portland, Oregon, Coin Toss Brewing earns its stripes by continuing to preserve history through its beers. From their Heritage Series, to the specialty creations based on local historical features, you can enjoy a truly tasty brew while stimulating your mind too. Across the street from The HiVe Taphouse, they often partner with many owners on this list to host and take part in community events.

Oregon City Brewing Co. -

A local favorite hang-out spot with fantastic outdoor seating area, cool vibe and swag and fantastic hop forward brews. A Portland favorite, Olympic Provisions Public House, opened a kitchen next door to Oregon City Brewing and they serve their alpine-inspired pub food and sausages along with their brews.

Shattered Oak Brewing (located in The HiVe Taphouse) -

Making German-inspired beers and seasonal specialty brews inside The HiVe Taphouse with food available from the first food truck in Oregon City, The Perky Pantry. It's such a fun atmosphere with everything to satisfy your taste buds, plenty of seating for gathering with friends and TV's for watching the game.

Trail Distilling -

The first legal distillery in the first incorporated city west of the Mississippi River since prohibition, Trail Distilling produces award-winning spirits like their First City Whiskey, Vodka, Rum and Trillium Gin. With a gorgeous tasting room, monthly events, cocktail classes and a new food truck, this is a must-visit right off Hwy 213.
