Fishing at Trillium Lake in the fall

FISHING

Mt. Hood Territory is home to 20 of Oregon’s top 50 places to fish within a 60-minute drive from Portland. Lakes, rivers and streams teem with salmon, steelhead, trout and small mouth bass for anglers of all experience levels. Find superb fishing year round from boat or bank, including winter steelhead and spring Chinook.

Sign up for fly fishing lessons or a guided adventure trip on the  Willamette, Sandy, Salmon, Clackamas and Molalla Rivers. Learn to drift and troll from a kayak. Get  your kids excited about the catch at Rainbow Trout Farm. Camp at Trillium, Timothy or Frog  Lakes and cast your line for days in the cold, clear alpine waters. Make it a fishing bike trip with plenty of stops at favorite fishing holes along the Cascading Rivers Scenic Bikeway.

Hone in on the best spots to find the fish you’re angling to catch any day of the year. The Territory’s map-based Fish Finder (below) is a  collaboration with Clackamas County Tourism and the Northwest  Sportfishing Industry Association (NSIA).
