EVENTS

Events in Oregon’s Mt. Hood Territory offer year-round festivals and activities for the whole family in the greater Portland area. Winter’s event calendar is full of snowboarding and skiing events at Timberline Lodge & Ski Area and Mt. Hood Skibowl, plus holiday happenings at Christmas tree farms. Spring events burst upon the scene with blooming flowers and baby farm animals galore. Summertime is filled with an abundance of outdoor activities, festivals, music events, and Farmers' Markets. Celebrate the fall bounty as local communities provide family fun harvest festivals, corn mazes, pumpkin patches, and haunted trails. The Clackamas County Fairgrounds & Event Center offers a variety of events throughout the year, including the Clackamas County Fair and Rodeo. City Lights Night Paddle
eNRG Kayaking

This Night Paddle adventure provides a distinctive opportunity to explore the waterways and cityscape. Participants are encouraged to decorate themselves and/or their boat with glow sticks, crowns, wands, and other illuminated accessories for this guided night paddle under the city lights. Two white glow sticks will be provided at check-in, but guests are welcome to bring additional glowing items to enhance their experience.

Farmers Markets
Throughout Clackamas County

Visit our list of area Farmers Markets open through out the week from April through October. The farmers markets in Mt. Hood Territory are packed with delicious local offerings, eye catching arts and foot-stomping live music. Each community's market is as unique as the towns themselves, and all showcase the impressive bounty available in Oregon. Saunter past booths highlighting local produce, prepared foods, specialty drinks and local honey. Roam aisles of brightly colored flowers, handmade products and arts and crafts. Arrive on bike, foot or by car, and bring your appetite and basket ready to fill up on fresh, local veggies and fragrant fruits.

Join the Home Orchard Education Center's “Growing Stone Fruit” workshop and learn how to successfully grow delicious stone fruit in the Pacific Northwest using sustainable, organic-minded practices. Whether you’re planting your first tree or refining your orchard skills, this hands-on workshop will help you better understand pruning, care, common challenges, and how to set your trees up for long-term success. Learn, ask questions, and connect with other fruit-growing enthusiasts in a beautiful community orchard setting.

Explore a section of National Water Trail on the Willamette River! You will paddle to volcanic islands and see remnants of century-old industry that founded Lake Oswego. As part of this 3 hour tour, guides will cover basic paddling skills including launching, strokes, maneuvering, and how to stay safe on the water. This tour is a great way to get out on the water learn paddling fundamentals!

Build new connections, relax in nature, and learn something new during this flat water kayaking trip. No previous experience necessary. AWL offers accessible programs and can provide adaptive gear to support a wide range of ability levels.

A free summer water play event where young children explore pouring, scooping, floating, sinking, and hands-on discovery. Join for Splash Lab Morning at Little Nestlings Early Learning Center. This free community event invites young children to explore water as a material for play, discovery, and experimentation. Children will use cups, scoops, funnels, and simple tools to pour, fill, empty, compare, and test what water can do. This is not a swim event. It is a sensory-rich, hands-on exploration designed for young children who love water play, movement, and discovery. Families are welcome to join their children as they investigate flow, volume, cause and effect, and joyful summer play.
