Events in Oregon’s Mt. Hood Territory offer year-round festivals and activities for the whole family in the greater Portland area. Winter’s event calendar is full of snowboarding and skiing events at Timberline Lodge & Ski Area and Mt. Hood Skibowl, plus holiday happenings at Christmas tree farms. Spring events burst upon the scene with blooming flowers and baby farm animals galore. Summertime is filled with an abundance of outdoor activities, festivals, music events, and Farmers' Markets. Celebrate the fall bounty as local communities provide family fun harvest festivals, corn mazes, pumpkin patches, and haunted trails. The Clackamas County Fairgrounds & Event Center offers a variety of events throughout the year, including the Clackamas County Fair and Rodeo. Art Decked Out: Art of Álvaro Alejandro Lopez Lakewood Center for the Arts

Álvaro Alejandro Lopez, an artist from Mexico City, exhibits an approach to literary classics through allusion, metaphor, and analogy with digital photography. “I try to look at the world with the attention of a cloud reader; that's how I find metaphors, analogies, materials, and very diverse themes," he states.

• Rigoberto Sanchez will be playing Mariachi Music with a dancing accompaniment.

In this beginner workshop, explore color, play with fiber, and create your very own unique rainbow wall hanging, all while having a ton of fun! You will be introduced to a fun hand-wrapping and shaping rainbow workshop where you can create your own rainbow wrapped in macrame cord. No macrame knotting involved.
Working with cotton rope, a variety of colors, and a few additional tools and supplies, you’ll have everything to make a 7×7″ macrame rainbow to hang on your wall to brighten any space. Learn the insider tips and tricks for a neat and secure wrap and finished assembly.
Onsite you’ll be able to choose from 10 different kit colorways options.
Once you master wrapping, the sky’s the limit to the shapes and objects you can make.

In this guided fused glass class, you will create a 5 x 5 glass portrait of your pet. No experience is necessary. Instructor Jenny Wells of Sweet Lomy Art will teach you the basics of glass cutting and layering and guide you through the process step by step.
All tools and materials are provided. Finished artwork will be kiln-fired after class and ready for pickup at a later date.
