EVENTS

Events in Oregon’s Mt. Hood Territory offer year-round festivals and activities for the whole family in the greater Portland area. Winter’s event calendar is full of snowboarding and skiing events at Timberline Lodge & Ski Area and Mt. Hood Skibowl, plus holiday happenings at Christmas tree farms. Spring events burst upon the scene with blooming flowers and baby farm animals galore. Summertime is filled with an abundance of outdoor activities, festivals, music events, and Farmers' Markets. Celebrate the fall bounty as local communities provide family fun harvest festivals, corn mazes, pumpkin patches, and haunted trails. The Clackamas County Fairgrounds & Event Center offers a variety of events throughout the year, including the Clackamas County Fair and Rodeo. Oregon City Children's Theatre

A live theatre one-act reimagining of Alice in Wonderland — for children, by children. ​“Wonderland” is designed for all ages, making it a wonderful introduction to live theatre. Students will be inspired as they see kids—just like them—taking the stage and bringing a timeless story to life in a whole new way. This exciting production features one of two casts made up of 7–8 talented young performers, ages 10–18. Each actor takes on 2–5 different roles, bringing energy, creativity, and fresh twists to this beloved classic.

World Cinema Series: Little Forest
Lake Theater & Cafe

Little Forest is a warm, award-nominated South Korean drama about a young woman who retreats to her rural hometown and rekindles joy, friendship, and purpose through cooking and the rhythms of the seasons. This movie will be screened in Korean with English subtitles. Dr. Jungmin Kwon, a professor of digital culture and film studies in the School of Film at Portland State University, will introduce the film. Stay after the screening to engage in a thought-provoking discussion about the film.

Creative Workshop Series: Intro to Block Printing
Toolbox Art Gallery

Time: 4 - 7pm

Join instructor Jennifer Heerey for this free block prining class. This workshop will include carving the block and making a print, both to take home afterward. Images to copy will be provided but students can also bring in their own inspiration. Light refreshment provided.

Chapel Theatre Play Festival
Chapel Theatre

Time: Thurs - Sat 7:30pm, Sun 2pm

This play festival showcases writers and their short plays by matching them up with local directors and actors to carry out their work. Playwrights submit their short plays to be considered while local directors and actors audition to take part in the festival. Chapel Theatre Co connects the plays with actors and directors and allows two weeks to rehearse before presenting the finished product.

Open Mic Night
Ale & Cider House

Join the Ale & Cider House for weekly open mic nights. Sign-ups at the bar begin at 5:30pm and performances begin at 6:30pm. Once your name is on the list, you will get a 15-minute window to perform music, poetry, or comedy!
