That’s why they produce Potluck, a monthly improv jam and showcase at Kennedy School. Follow them on Insta @potluckimprovpdx. Exterior - Night. Butch Femme Fatale enters. Crime ensues. An unlikely detective is forced to come to terms with the question: Is 1940’s Noir actually comedy? Cory Merrill, Anne Jones, Kerry McPherson, and Stephen Burgess take turns playing a stereotypical hard boiled detective figuring out a devious noir plot made up on the spot. Improvisation is collaborative, unscripted theater where actors invent stories, characters, and dialogue in real-time. Instead of relying on a written script, the performers build scenes spontaneously based on suggestions provided by the audience.

Riverside Meditation, Journaling, & Sauna for Women

Address: 1915 SE Jefferson St, Milwaukie, OR 97222
Phone: 503-445-7495

Before your workday starts and the to-do list takes over, connect with a deeper part of you by tuning in to the four elements in nature that also move through your body–Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. The group will meet at SaunaGlo to make the five-minute walk together to the river, where you’ll be guided in a four elements meditation, followed by journal prompts and facilitated group sharing. Then return to the sauna, where you’ll have time for at least one round of heating and cooling before you continue on with your day. Most people say they love nature. But loving something and actually slowing down long enough to connect with it through feeling it in your body are two different things.
