Events in Oregon’s Mt. Hood Territory offer year-round festivals and activities for the whole family in the greater Portland area. Winter’s event calendar is full of snowboarding and skiing events at Timberline Lodge & Ski Area and Mt. Hood Skibowl, plus holiday happenings at Christmas tree farms. Spring events burst upon the scene with blooming flowers and baby farm animals galore. Summertime is filled with an abundance of outdoor activities, festivals, music events, and Farmers' Markets. Celebrate the fall bounty as local communities provide family fun harvest festivals, corn mazes, pumpkin patches, and haunted trails. The Clackamas County Fairgrounds & Event Center offers a variety of events throughout the year, including the Clackamas County Fair and Rodeo. A Christmas Carol - Staged Reading New Century Players

New Century will be presenting three performances of a staged reading of A Christmas Carol, adapted by David McCann. Based on the classic Dickens tale, the audience accompany Ebenezer Scrooge on his journey with the Ghost of Christmas Past, the Ghost of Christmas Present and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come on his way to a new outlook on Christmas and life. The Annual Light Up The Night event will return to Wait Park on Friday, December 1st, 2023. Light Up The Night kicks off at 6pm with a lighted parade throughout downtown Canby. The lighted parade will finish at Wait Park at approximately 6:30pm as the Canby Fire District delivers Santa and Mrs. Claus on N. Grant Street. The winner of “Who Lights Up Canby” will turn on the lights in the park. Children of all ages are encouraged to stay for a chat and photo opportunity with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Area tree farms offer U-cut, pre-cut and even trees delivered right to your door!
