Time: 11am - 5pm Wed - Sat
Address:

This artshow, featuring a new body of work by UK-based artist LittleSwimminMachine (aka Francesca Loi), was originally inspired by the artist's fascination with the concept of Pareidolia: the human tendency to perceive faces in nature's random patterns (even when none actually exist). Such a fascination led her to an exploration of the anthropomorphic - the attribution of human form and character to non-human entities - with the ultimate goal of blurring the boundary between reality and imagination.
Loi has once again chosen to work with multiple materials, blending diverse textures, styles, and human features as a means of merging the "typical" with the strange. In doing this, she hopes to have conjured up stirrings of unease.
The show debuts on November 8 with an opening reception and runs through November 29 at the Imperfecta Gallery.
