Oregon's Mt. Hood Territory is Clackamas County's tourism department. As the County's tourism department, we work to promote safe and responsible travel to and within the destination to optimize economic impacts from tourism in our communities.
With the upcoming wildfire season and other natural disaster events in mind, we want to help ensure that visitors to Clackamas County are prepared for large-scale emergency situations. While many people may be prepared with emergency food, water and supplies in their homes, they often don't have the same resources available when traveling. Moreover, visitors often don't know how to access local emergency information. Clackamas County Tourism is providing emergency kits and information for visitors to vacation rental properties to help our visitors stay safe during natural disasters, power shutoffs and more. These kits include water, food rations, basic emergency supplies and local emergency information packaged in a 5-gallon bucket.
To request an emergency kit(s) for your rental property(ies), please complete the information below. If you are a property manager that oversees more than three properties in Clackamas County, please download and complete the bulk request sheet found below and return via email to Ithaca Janzen at ithaca@mthoodterritory.com.
Your property must be registered for a Clackamas County Lodging Certificate and be actively remitting Transient Lodging Tax (TLT) to qualify. If your property has already received an emergency kit from Clackamas County Tourism in the past three years you are not eligible to receive another.
