For our third episode of our new podcast, Territory Tales which uncovers the stories behind Oregon's Mt. Hood Territory and its beloved attractions, we talked with Tara and Carl McKnight, owners of St. Josef's Winery.
Tara's father, Josef Fleischmann, immigrated to the states from Hungary and was actually a professional baker in Chicago before moving to Oregon and planting grapes in Canby, like his grandfather had done in Hungary.
As one of the oldest vineyards in Oregon, the family winery is still thriving with 3 generations involved in the business. Tara was just recently named President of St. Josef's Winery, and she and her husband Carl sat down with us in this episode to dish on all the history, what makes them stand-out, and all they have going on year-round.
