5 REASONS TO VISIT MT. HOOD TERRITORY MIDWEEK

Every day is a good day in Mt. Hood Territory. But visiting midweek makes a good thing even better. When planning your next excursion, consider these reasons to book your stay Monday through Thursday.

1. Fewer crowds

Sure it's fun to travel with friends, but sometimes you just want to keep it to those closest to you. Mt. Hood is obviously a popular destination, so if you'd like to fewer people around, visiting midweek is a good way to minimize the wait time at the chair lifts and your favorite spots to eat.

2. Save money

Everyone loves to save a buck or two, right? Many of the hotels, inns and vacation rentals have lower rates during midweek. One of the most common reasons people don't travel is the cost. With savings like these, that barrier to travel is removed. You're welcome!

3. Get more for less

This is one of those rare cases where less really can be more. With some pretty substantial savings for midweek stays, you could even add another day to your trip. Just think of all the things you could do with an entire day added to your itinerary.

4. Less traffic

Few things can be as much of a downer as traffic. Visiting midweek is a great way to avoid that. While everyone is stuck going to work, you can be heading off to do your thing, free from the confines created by far too many cars.

5. Live like a local

You can have the most authentic experience possible when you visit midweek. When you're exploring the area, you'll find more locals than you do visitors. This lets you frequent the same businesses the locals do and experience the very best the destination has to offer. After all, who knows a place better than those who choose to live there?
