The Story Behind - Dan Davis with the Bureau Of Land Management

For our sixth podcast of our new series, Territory Tales, we sat down with Bureau of Land Management's Outdoor Recreation Planner, Dan Davis. BLM has always been a fantastic partner with Mt. Hood Territory and Dan Davis has been an integral part of that relationship, but it wasn't until this conversation that we realized how lucky we are to know Dan. 

Not only does he describe the beauty of the Mt. Hood National Forest and the surrounding recreation sites that BLM manages, but he let us in on his personal testimony discovering the magical properties that time outdoors can bring. From his background in the Army Infantry, to being deployed to Iraq and experiencing PTSD upon return, he describes his journey that lead him to seek respite in the woods and eventually, his job with BLM.

This episode is a must listen! Dan's story certainly inspired us and we feel grateful that we got to know him on a deeper level. His story should definitely be shared and hope it motivates you to find healing outdoors.
