EVENTS

Events in Oregon’s Mt. Hood Territory offer year-round festivals and activities for the whole family in the greater Portland area. Winter’s event calendar is full of snowboarding and skiing events at Timberline Lodge & Ski Area and Mt. Hood Skibowl, plus holiday happenings at Christmas tree farms. Spring events burst upon the scene with blooming flowers and baby farm animals galore. Summertime is filled with an abundance of outdoor activities, festivals, music events, and Farmers' Markets. Celebrate the fall bounty as local communities provide family fun harvest festivals, corn mazes, pumpkin patches, and haunted trails. The Clackamas County Fairgrounds & Event Center offers a variety of events throughout the year, including the Clackamas County Fair and Rodeo. On Friday, July 11, 18, and 25, the community is invited to create music from their own homes, or walk/bike around Milwaukie neighborhoods to enjoy the sights and sounds! Bat Chats with Park Rangers
Tryon Creek State Park

Bring your picnic blankets and settle in for an evening of bat viewing at the Tryon Creek meadow off the Bike Trail. Park Rangers will give a bat talk before assisting participants with spotting bats. Tryon Creek is home to Little Brown Bats, Silver-haired Bats and Big Brown Bats. Bats are crucial pollinators, fertilizers, seed dispersers, and insect controllers in ecosystems all over the world, including right here at Tryon Creek State Natural Area. Behind the Scenes Production Summer Camp - Ages 11-17

Ages 11-17. Interested in theater but not necessarily interested in being on stage? Spend a week learning the behind the scenes magic of the theater. Choose between directing, stage managing, lighting, sound, props and costumes, and more. These roles are integral parts of making a production happen without the stage fright. This camp will run alongside the performance camp, which means the dates and times are the same. At times, you will be working directly with the actors, and at other times, you will be learning more in detail about your role and what is expected of you throughout the production.

HAREFEST: The Mother of All Tribute Festivals returns July 16–18, 2026 to the Clackamas County Fairgrounds & Event Center in Canby, Oregon. The three-day festival features 24 tribute bands performing across two stages, with music celebrating artists including Queen, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, Def Leppard, Eagles, Tom Petty, Rush, AC/DC, ABBA, Foo Fighters, Judas Priest, and more.
