The Milwaukie Arts Committee is hosting another year of Porchfest! On Friday, July 11, 18, and 25, the community is invited to create music from their own homes, or walk/bike around Milwaukie neighborhoods to enjoy the sights and sounds! Singers, dancers, bagpipers, guitar players, etc. are all encouraged to fill Milwaukie with performance art! Bring your picnic blankets and settle in for an evening of bat viewing at the Tryon Creek meadow off the Bike Trail. Park Rangers will give a bat talk before assisting participants with spotting bats. Tryon Creek is home to Little Brown Bats, Silver-haired Bats and Big Brown Bats. Bats are crucial pollinators, fertilizers, seed dispersers, and insect controllers in ecosystems all over the world, including right here at Tryon Creek State Natural Area. Ages 11-17. Interested in theater but not necessarily interested in being on stage? Spend a week learning the behind the scenes magic of the theater. Choose between directing, stage managing, lighting, sound, props and costumes, and more. These roles are integral parts of making a production happen without the stage fright. This camp will run alongside the performance camp, which means the dates and times are the same. At times, you will be working directly with the actors, and at other times, you will be learning more in detail about your role and what is expected of you throughout the production.

Family Glass Studio: Wizarding World of Hogwarts Calling all witches, wizards, and magical creatures! Step into a world of imagination at our Hogwarts-themed Family Glass Studio and create fused glass art inspired by your favorite wizarding adventures. Design magical creations featuring owls, lightning bolts, potion bottles, golden snitches, house colors, stars, castles, and other enchanting designs. Whether you're a devoted Hogwarts student or simply love a little magic, this family-friendly studio is the perfect way to spend time creating together. HAREFEST: The Mother of All Tribute Festivals returns July 16–18, 2026 to the Clackamas County Fairgrounds & Event Center in Canby, Oregon. The three-day festival features 24 tribute bands performing across two stages, with music celebrating artists including Queen, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, Def Leppard, Eagles, Tom Petty, Rush, AC/DC, ABBA, Foo Fighters, Judas Priest, and more. The event also includes food vendors, camping, beverage options, and nightly laser light show finales in “Hippie Hollow.”

For ages 11-17. Students will spend a week putting on a show! You will have one quick week to learn all you need to know to put on a production at the end of the week for your families and friends. Stronger Skatepark summer camps are inclusive and fun! The indoor skatepark offers skateboard, scooter, and roller skate options for 6-14 year old's of ALL ability levels, from kids who have never been to a skate park to kids who know how to shred the park!
