EVENTS

Events in Oregon’s Mt. Hood Territory offer year-round festivals and activities for the whole family in the greater Portland area. Winter’s event calendar is full of snowboarding and skiing events at Timberline Lodge & Ski Area and Mt. Hood Skibowl, plus holiday happenings at Christmas tree farms. Spring events burst upon the scene with blooming flowers and baby farm animals galore. Summertime is filled with an abundance of outdoor activities, festivals, music events, and Farmers' Markets. Celebrate the fall bounty as local communities provide family fun harvest festivals, corn mazes, pumpkin patches, and haunted trails. The Clackamas County Fairgrounds & Event Center offers a variety of events throughout the year, including the Clackamas County Fair and Rodeo. Basil & Art Festival

There will be local artists displaying their crafts along with a menu of basil dishes available to enjoy at this event. Visitors can also enjoy riding the train at the venue on the weekends and labor day.

Bridge City Improv: Debutiful

Debutiful: A raucous celebration of firsts and beginnings in honor of the new theater -- performed by a seasoned cast of goofballs and visionaries. Featuring: Adrienne Flagg, Chris Parsons, Justin Himes, Erin Cunningham, Matt Roberts, Sean Miller, Jenny Rayfield, Danika Grundemann, Brad Fortier Directed by Adrienne Flagg All ages welcome, though assume PG13 content. $15 online / $20 at door. Improvisation is collaborative, unscripted theater where actors create stories, characters, and dialogue in real-time. Instead of relying on a written script, the performers build scenes spontaneously based on suggestions provided by the audience.

J Names is one of Portland's longest running improv teams. A prominent comedy supergroup of local comedy veterans whose first names (most!) start with the letter “J”. Featuring: Jay Flewelling, Jed Arkley, Justin Himes, Jenn Hunter, Jon Bolden, SJ Santa Cruz, Katie Behrens, Craig McCarthy. This is high-quality improvisation you won’t want to miss. All ages welcome, though assume PG13 content. $15 online / $20 at door. Improvisation is collaborative, unscripted theater where actors create stories, characters, and dialogue in real-time. Instead of relying on a written script, the performers build scenes spontaneously based on suggestions provided by the audience.

Throughout Clackamas County

Visit our list of area Farmers Markets open through out the week from April through October. The farmers markets in Mt. Hood Territory are packed with delicious local offerings, eye catching arts and foot-stomping live music. Each community's market is as unique as the towns themselves, and all showcase the impressive bounty available in Oregon. Saunter past booths highlighting local produce, prepared foods, specialty drinks and local honey. Roam aisles of brightly colored flowers, handmade products and arts and crafts. Arrive on bike, foot or by car, and bring your appetite and basket ready to fill up on fresh, local veggies and fragrant fruits.

Round the Mountain - a 3-day guided hike around Mt. Hood

Join us for an epic three-day adventure around Oregon’s preeminent Cascade volcano! Hike through meadows of Alpine wildflowers, cross glacial creeks, and take in stunning views of Mt. Hood and its neighboring peaks, all as part of a hiking team led by an experienced Mazama leader. Each day consists of 13-15 miles with more than 2,000 feet of vertical gain while carrying your day pack and lunch. Shuttle vans to and from the trailheads are provided, with evenings spent around a cozy fire in the charming and rustic Mazama Lodge. Your registration includes: Lodging at the Mazama Lodge (three nights) Meals (Friday dinner through Monday post-hike snack) Transportation to/from the Mazama Lodge (from the MMC in Portland)

Running Club & Power Walking

All are welcome for this fun community run and walking group, held on every first Saturday of the month. This is a free community group, so anyone can join the runners or walkers at no-cost. The sauna social after the run is offered at half-price: a reduced rate of just $14.50 — capacity is limited to the first 20 sign-ups so we encourage you to register ahead of time. The light pace is great for beginners, and set by the group. If a few people want to go slower or faster then we split into different pace-pods. Simply show-up just before 8am, run or walk for about an hour, then afterward enjoy sauna time together for half-price! Soak up that steam and the cold contrast for muscle recovery, improved circulation and enhanced running performance. Note: We meet rain or shine and always make sure everyone is feeling safe and supported
