Featuring 36 fully lit runs, Mt. Hood Skibowl is the largest night ski area in America. There are 69 total runs, including the most black diamond runs of any resort in Oregon.

The world’s first Cosmic Tubing® is the best party on the mountain! Families enjoy more than 600,000 LED lights and music while tubing down the snow hill. And getting back to the top of the hill is as easy as relaxing on a ride up one of the dual conveyor lifts.

The Snow Tube and Adventure Park at Mt. Hood Skibowl offers steeper runs for the more adventurous on the Extreme Tube Hill. Families also love the indoor Super Play Zone, Kids Tubing Carousel and Frosty’s Playland.

Fun fact: Skibowl was established in 1937 by a group of Norwegian ski jumpers.

Skier leaves Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood

With the largest vertical terrain in the Pacific Northwest at 3,690 vertical feet, Timberline Lodge & Ski Area boasts some of the most scenic skiing in Oregon. Timberline recently purchased the Summit Ski Area in Government Camp and recently announced that they merged the two areas into one, creating the nation's most vertical feet of terrain with 4,540. 

As the only ski-in, ski-out lodging in Oregon, each Timberline Lodge room has a unique rustic elegance yet a modern and comfortable feel. And sitting at 6,000 feet on Mt. Hood, the lodge features amazing views, first-class cuisine and a full menu of amenities.

Constructed in 1937, history is featured throughout Timberline Lodge. Designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1977, history buffs enjoy wandering the hotel just as much as guests.

Fun fact: Timberline Lodge was featured in the 1980 movie "The Shining” as the exterior of the lodge was used as the exterior of the Overlook Hotel.

Mt. Hood Meadows features some of the most spectacular skiing and snowboarding in the Pacific Northwest, and the wide-open terrain of the Cascade Express Lift offers incredible panoramic views half-way across Oregon.

The steep pitches of powder at legendary Heather Canyon are perfect for advanced skiers and boarders. For those who want additional 1,700 of vertical feet, you can hike to the double blacks of Super Bowl above Heather.

Operated by Mt. Hood Meadows, the ski area at Cooper Spur Mountain Resort offers beginner and intermediate terrain for skiing and snowboarding, as well as cross country skiing, snowshoeing and tubing opportunities. 

Fun fact: Meadows had the first enclosed on-the-snow conveyer lift in the Northwest – the “Ballroom Carpet” – named after longtime instructor, the late Don Ball.
