Plan for Vacation Day 2020

Plan for vacation day may be over, but that's no reason to let those vacation days go to waste!

If you're like more than half of Americans, which the math says you probably are, then you don't use all of your vacation time. More than 236 million days not only went unused last year, they were completely forfeited. All the lost time equates to more than $65.6 billion in lost benefits. If it were actually that much money we were leaving on the table, we probably wouldn't be as casual about it. It might as well be money though, that's your time, it's as much a part of your compensation as your pay.

We joined with the US Travel Association and destinations across the country to encourage Americans to Plan for Vacation on January 28. There are countless studies that show taking vacation improves both physical and mental health. So often we worry about lost productivity at work, but studies also show that taking that time actually makes you more productive. So book that trip, you earned it. Literally! We've got some ideas linked below to help get that plan started.
