Does your family adore old places, and relish in learning the stories of the past? Do your mouths water at the mere thought of farm-fresh veggies harvested moments ago? Can you feel your pulses quicken as you think about carving a corner at top speed as the wind whips through your hair? Then you're definitely a family of HistoFarmKarters, and Mt. Hood Territory is where you belong.

Histo - noun: a learned person of the past

We are the official end of the Oregon Trail, and the many stories of pioneers who made the famed trek are told at museums, heritage sites and interpretive centers throughout the region. What's old is awesome, and you'll find it here.

Farm - verb: to raise crops or animals on a plot of land

The Willamette Valley's fertile soils provide us with a bounty of goodness. Beautiful fields filled with colorful flowers burst forth in brilliant blooms. Friendly animals invite you to hang out and do some yoga in their midst. Scenic farms produce delicious fruits and vegetables just begging to be included in your next meal. Sample it for yourself at our wineries, at a farm to table dinner or one of the many farmers' markets throughout Mt. Hood Territory. We like it when you get fresh.

Karter - noun: a person who goes fast in a small racing car

The slow lane is not for you. Scenery is better when it's whipping by at a blur. If you think your vacation is on the right track at a race track, then we've got some fun in store for you. Your trip to Mt. Hood Territory is going to be one for the record books, and we can't wait to see the tales, HistoFarmKarter.
