Events in Oregon’s Mt. Hood Territory offer year-round festivals and activities for the whole family in the greater Portland area. Celebrate the fall bounty as local communities provide family-fun harvest festivals, corn mazes, pumpkin patches, and haunted trails. Winter’s event calendar is full of snowboarding and skiing events at Timberline Lodge & Ski Area and Mt. Hood Skibowl. Spring events burst upon the scene with blooming colors at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival. Summertime is filled with an abundance of outdoor activities, festivals, music events, and Farmers' Markets. The Clackamas County Fairgrounds & Event Center offers a variety of events throughout the year, including the Clackamas County Fair and Rodeo.

Clackamas Winter Steelhead Workshop Clackamas River

Want to learn how to fly fish the Clackamas River? This class shows you where to go and when and how to do it on the Clackamas River and its main, tributary Eagle Creek. Start with coffee and donuts at the Royal Treatment Fly Shop and discuss fish run timing and cover the map. Then hit some top spots on the river to learn where to fish and when to be there and practice your fishing skills. Hot lunch provided. Fly rods available to borrow. Classes are held from December through April first come first serve. $110/person. Purchase tickets online.

Powder for Pups Mt. Hood Skibowl

Celebrating it's 50th year, WSET is recognized as the global leader for spirit education and the trusted source for anyone looking to increase their level of spirits knowledge. WSET training is perfect for distillers, bartenders, brand ambassadors and spirit enthusiasts. A WSET qualification provides comprehensive training including production methods, characteristics of principal international spirits and the Systematic Approach to Tasting Spirits (SAT) methods. Classes will be taught on site at Trail Distilling and Level II includes a hands-on distillation class which covers principles and techniques of distillation using a column still. This is a 2.5 day course with lunch included and an exam on the final day. $599 includes study materials, workbook and certification.
