Events in Oregon’s Mt. Hood Territory offer year-round festivals and activities for the whole family in the greater Portland area. Celebrate the fall bounty as local communities provide family-fun harvest festivals, corn mazes, pumpkin patches, and haunted trails. Winter’s event calendar is full of snowboarding and skiing events at Timberline Lodge & Ski Area and Mt. Hood Skibowl. Spring events burst upon the scene with blooming colors at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival. Summertime is filled with an abundance of outdoor activities, festivals, music events, and Farmers' Markets. The Clackamas County Fairgrounds & Event Center offers a variety of events throughout the year, including the Clackamas County Fair and Rodeo.

Before the Show Began - Theaters of Oregon Museum of the Oregon Territory

Theaters have always captured our imaginations. Their architecture and lighting have drawn us inside. Their decorative lobbies have let us know something special was about to happen. Darrell Jabin; Oregon’s Traveling Historian toured and photographed dozens of theaters. He researched opera houses, vaudeville, movie palaces, drive ins and neighborhood theaters. He interviewed historians, theater owners and directors of community theaters to create a presentation covering a unique part of Oregon history. 7-8pm.

Downtown Oregon City Association is delighted to continue their Wine Walk tradition with a new spin - an interactive Spirits Walk in the historic downtown of Oregon's First City. The walk begins at Liberty Plaza, where participants receive a custom glass and special map for the event. Attendees then embark on a self guided sip and stroll tour visiting up to 15 downtown business who are open for special hours and each hosting a local distillery. Use your event glass to sample the unique offerings. Limited to-go bottle sales will be available. Walk is from 5-8pm.

Do you want to learn the best way to safely navigate NW rivers with a drift boat? If you have a boat and want to learn or borrow one of ours, this specialty rowing workshop is for you. Learn to manage your new boat with safety and confidence. Oregon based Water Time Outfitters guides and pro guide Rob Crandall has rowed a drift boat for a lifetime and can teach you techniques you need to safely navigate NW waters with confidence. Learn the basics of boat safety, trailering and more in this 4 hour course close to Portland on the Clackamas River. Course fee is $205 for 1-2 people. Call or email to schedule a session.
