I’m pretty sure I speak for every Oregonian when I say it’s time for spring to bring a little joy and sun. Luckily, St. Josef’s Winery is ushering in the growing season with their annual St. Josef’s Day Festival in coordination with the tulips blooming at Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm just down the road.
Mt. Hood Territory’s most tenured winery is celebrating its 39th anniversary with the St. Josef’s Day Festival. The event will feature jazz music by the Portland Gypsy Jazz Project as well as numerous food options highlighting their home-made Hungarian Goulash and of course some amazing new wine releases. Among those estate-grown new releases include the Lilli Sparkling wine and Kitara Reserve Syrah. You can also join the winemakers for several tours throughout the day or simply relax with a glass of your favorite varietal, watching the buds bloom in the vineyard while listening to jazz.
Their slogan for this event is to “Enjoy Red Lips and Tulips”, as St. Josef’s is located just down the road from the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm. With more than 40 acres of tulips in full bloom you can stroll for hours while you take in the expansive views. www.woodenshoe.com
