ARTS

If the whole world is a stage, then Mt. Hood Territory is one of the best venues you could hope to play. The Lakewood Center for the Arts boasts some of the best performers in the Pacific Northwest in an expansive schedule of plays and musicals each year, where you can also find some gorgeous works in their rotating art displays. The Clackamas Repertory Theatre is a great place to spend an evening, as they have the reputation of putting on critically acclaimed shows. If you head to Boring, you'll find the Nutz-n-Boltz theater company, proving that great performances can happen in even the smallest of communities.

Art galleries throughout The Territory showcase some of Oregon’s best local artists and visiting talent. Take in an assortment of creative works at The Spiral Gallery artists' cooperative in Estacada or meander through one of the Three Rivers Artist Guild galleries in Oregon City. Find beautiful works from local, regional and national artists or create your own at Art-O-Maddic in Canby.

Music festivals take things to the next level in Happy Valley. Pickathon is a three-day folk and bluegrass festival in the middle of an 80-acre farm. Sustainability is key; Pickathon was the first large outdoor music festival in the U.S. to eliminate single-use plates, cups and utensils. For upcoming theater, music and arts events, check our both Events Page and the Clackamas Arts Alliance event page.
