This time we sat down with Barb Iverson, owner of Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm, Wooden Shoe Vineyards and Red Barn Hemp. All of these entities are part of the same property in Woodburn and owned and managed by the Iverson family.
The Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival is an incredibly popular spring event that has grown exponentially over the years and attracts people from all corners of the globe. It's fun to check out the large scale map of the world and detailed map of the United States that attendees use to pin their home towns. It's truly amazing to see just how far have travelled.
The popularity of the festival sparked the Iverson family to continue challenging themselves and utilizing their fertile soils which sparked the Wooden Shoe Vineyards and Red Barn Hemp ventures.
In this episode, Barb brought us back to the beginning when it was just a seed company and walked us through how it bloomed into the massively popular tulip festival it is today, along with the opening of the winery and hemp divisions.
