Bar and bartender at Feckin Irish Brewing & Smokehouse in Oregon City in Oregons Mt. Hood Territory

Festivals occur between Thursday, March 15 and Sunday, March 18

Great Feckin Brewers. Great Feckin Beer. That's the perfectly fitting tagline for Feckin Irish Brewing & Smokehouse in Oregon City. They brew traditional Irish beers that have a Northwest influence plus they pair them with delicious BBQ and smoked meats. For the last three years they've hosted an Irish Craft Ale Fest to celebrate St. Patrick's Day and it continues to pick up momentum with more and more offerings. This year they are pumped to offer an ax-throwing contest in addition to the arm-wrestling contest, live music, Irish dancing and bagpipers. And of course they'll be serving up locally crafted Irish ales, lagers and ciders to enjoy over the three-day celebration. Bonus, Feckin is a part of the free Mt. Hood Territory Tap Trail mobile Highland Stillhouse bartender serving beer to guest in Oregon City in Oregons Mt. Hood Territory.passport program, which offers discounts at the region's breweries. Its a great passport that encourages you to visit breweries, cideries and even a distillery along the trail that you likely haven't heard about. Plus, if you visit at least 10 of the 12 participating within a year's time you earn a stainless steal pint glass, which is pretty cool if you ask me.

Just down the way from Feckin on Hwy 99 is the Highland Stillhouse whiskey pub which has their own annual festival filled with live music all weekend and whiskey galore. The Celtic Festival 2018 will also offer a special whiskey tasting and pairing with appetizers on Friday 3/16 and tickets are required for this portion. It's an incredibly fun atmosphere with views from the outside of the Willamette Falls and decor inside inspired by Scotland. They offer the largest selection of single malt scotch in the Portland metro area categorized by area of origin. Pair that with Celtic feasts and comfort food like cottage pie, bangers & mash and their award winning fish & chips.

Hope to see you out at one of these festivals in our backyard rocking your green Irish-themed attire, having fun and staying safe with designated drivers or utilizing ride-share apps to get to and from.
