3 Mountain Bike Parks in 3 Days

NOTE: Mt. Hood Skibowl's mountain biking facilities are closed for the 2022 summer season.

1. Sandy Ridge Trail System

Start your multiday adventure at Sandy Ridge Trail System, which has 15.7 miles of singletrack trails ranging from beginner level all the way up to double black diamond. The trails were designed to be a great mix of traditional riding aspects combined with features seen on more modern trail rides. Sandy Ridge is also open year-round, so you can get your fix in pretty much any time. Best of all, there's no day-use fee.

2. Mt. Hood Skibowl

Sure, Skibowl is famous for being the largest night skiing area in the country, but during the summer months they have more than 40 miles of lift assisted trails with 1,500 feet of elevation change. They have a lot of options for riders of all ages, from beginner-worthy widetrack loops to more challenging runs and ever-changing custom tracks in their Freeride Bike Park. You can bring your own bike or rent the necessary gear. And if you somehow don't get your adrenaline pumping enough with all that, then try the aerial park for a few more thrills.

Nearby:
Government Camp
Mt. Hood Brewing

3. Timberline Bike Park

North America's longest ski season now has the added attraction of holding one of the newest mountain bike parks in the state. You can even ski in the morning and then bomb down some trails in the afternoon on the same day. The Timberline Bike Park opened for the first time in the summer of 2019, and have only added to the offerings since then. It's a great place for newbies and longtime riders alike with easy to technical ride options. Plus, trained pros offer lessons for those who are looking to get into the sport. Didn't bring your own bike? No worries, all the gear you need is available to rent here.
