Snowboarder in fresh deep powder at Timberline Ski Area on Mt. Hood

Mid-Week Skiing and Boarding in Mt. Hood Territory

How does a snow day on Mt. Hood sound with less congestion, easier parking, shorter lines and more wide-open terrain for you and your friends? Pretty fantastic, right? The key to experiencing these perks in Mt. Hood Territory is to head up to the mountain mid-week.

Skiing and snowboarding on Mt. Hood is a dream come true with American's longest ski season at Timberline Lodge & Ski Area and the best terrain parks in the Northwest, plus America's largest night ski area at Mt. Hood Skibowl covering more terrain with the best steeps! To make it even better, the two power houses have combined to offer a Fusion Pass which allows you access to both resorts, plus admission to 17 additional resorts for free, through the Powder Alliance. It's a pretty special deal and you should definitely check it out.

Speaking of deals, you can get some remarkable ski/snowboard deals by visiting Mt. Hood during the mid-week instead of the weekend. The mountain in general has a pretty laid back vibe but if you prefer uncrowded runs and congestion-free transportation, mid-week is the best time to have more of the mountain to yourself.

Tuesdays are an especially good time to head to Mt. Hood Skibowl as they offer "Ladies Night" every Tuesday for ladies to ski for just $25, from 3-10 pm through April. That's a $17 savings off a regular night ticket which is a pretty sweet deal considering that Powder Magazine named it as "The best place in the U.S. to go night skiing".

At Timberline Lodge & Ski Area if you stay one night, any Sunday - Thursday (excluding holidays) then two people can ski or snowboard for free the following day (Available through May 23, 2019).

Or if you are a Timberline Ski Area Season Pass Holder, you'll receive 35% off mid-week overnight stays at Timberline Lodge (excluding holidays). (Available through May 23, 2019)

Plus they always offer active military personnel discounts of 25% off, children six years or younger tickets for free when purchased with an adult ticket, and seniors ages 71 and over for free with a legacy ticket.

If you can swing it, mid-week trips to the mountain can be a wonderful respite for you, your family/friends and your wallet! Check out the mid-week lodging deals on the mountain to get double the deal.
