May is a wonderful time for wine lovers in Mt. Hood Territory. It's so perfect, in fact, that it has been formally designated as Oregon Wine Month. The excitement peaks Memorial Day weekend, when our wineries have extended tasting hours and special offerings to accommodate friends and family enjoying the long weekend.

It's also the perfect time to celebrate some of the best wines in the world... that's right, the world! And that's not just our biased opinion, but that of the highly acclaimed Wine Enthusiast magazine when they named the Willamette Valley the #1 Wine Region of the Year in 2016. But our winemakers do even more than craft amazing wines. They have really dialed in their tasting rooms, ranging from beautifully grand and historic to intimate gathering rooms with personal touches, all 100% inviting. Better yet, many of the wineries are kid and dog friendly, making everyone feel welcome while exploring Mt. Hood Territory.
With 18 wineries to choose from (listed here) you might need the whole month to experience them all. Plus, if you sign up for the free Mt. Hood Territory Wine Trail mobile passport, you can save money on tastings or wine purchases at 16 different locations. Granted, with that many stops it can be a bit daunting trying to figure out the ideal route. In case you need some suggestions, we've got a few sample wine itineraries put together for you to get you on your way.
