If you are looking for a nod to the past this Christmas season there is no better place to visit in Mt. Hood Territory then Philip Foster Farm in Eagle Creek for their Christmas in the Country event. This annual event, held on the first Saturday in December, runs from 11am-4pm featuring all things Christmas... from the past! You and the kiddos will be able to meet with Santa in the farmhouse parlor and tell him what you'd like for Christmas before snapping a few photos for your Christmas card. You'll enjoy some pioneer hospitality with adult and child volunteers dressed in period costume, stringing popcorn decorations, pouring coffee made in a cast iron skillet and playing traditional music, on the guitar. While you are there, your family can even pick out their Christmas tree! It will be an experience you won't forget and might even become your new yearly tradition.
