Oregon’s Mt. Hood Territory is the leader for nursery and greenhouse activity in Oregon and ranks seventh in the nation for agricultural output. The nice thing is, it doesn’t all happen behind the scenes. Visitors are invited to see how a working farm operates, where food really comes from and just how glorious a picnic lunch can be when you plop down in a field of dahlias. Regional farmers’ markets abound, bringing fresh produce and locally grown foods to many communities. Drive slowly so you can pull off at one of our roadside stands for a homemade pie or fresh-picked berries.
