Oregon’s Mt. Hood Territory Says “Tanks for Coming”

Summer travel incentive gives visitors free gas, coupons for visiting

Oregon City, Ore. – Sure there’s no such thing as a free lunch, but you can get free gas by visiting Oregon’s Mt. Hood Territory this summer.

Visitors staying in participating hotels in Oregon’s Mt. Hood Territory through Sept. 7 will be rewarded with a gas card worth up to $90 (while supplies last), plus other money-saving coupons. It’s our way to say “Tanks for Coming.” Visitors will find a list of participating properties as well as links to their websites and coupons at www.tanksforcoming.com.

From summer skiing on Mount Hood to sipping wines in the Northern Willamette Valley; tax-free shopping at the Clackamas Town Center (one of the largest malls in the state); to learning about the brave pioneers in historic Oregon City, there is plenty to keep visitors busy for a long vacation or even just a long weekend.

Oregon’s Mt. Hood Territory is home to the magnificent 11,245-foot Mount Hood, the 1-million-plus-acre Mt. Hood National Forest and so much more. Surrounded by unique towns such as the Villages of Mt. Hood, Government Camp and Sandy in the high country, upscale cities such as Lake Oswego, West Linn and Wilsonville near Portland and pastoral paradises like Molalla and Canby in the Willamette Valley, this unique destination has something for everyone.

And, visitors won’t need to take out a second mortgage to put gas in their tanks when they stay at participating lodging partners. From private rental homes and condos to historic hotels and luxury accommodations, Oregon’s Mt. Hood Territory has many ways to say “Tanks for Coming.”
