Windells Camp Open Skate
Visiting the mountain, bring your family and ride Mt. Hood's only indoor skate park and see where the pros train. Windells private skate park is open for public use; ramps, foam pit and super trampoline for starters. Children must be accompanied by parent or guardian for first visit and liability waiver. Gallery is nestled along the Clackamas River in the heart of the Oregon's Cascade Mountains. Art as varied as the artists that create it. From watercolor to oil, wood to metal, jewelry to sculpture, The Spiral Gallery strives to exhibit diverse and original artwork. The artists that make up the cooperative are all local, living in and around Estacada. 1st Fridays showcase these artists and their many talents.

Glade Trail & Trillium Lake Guided Snowshoe Walks
Glade Trail walks meet at Mt. Hood Cultural Center. Trip will be approximately 3.5 miles and go through the forest, discussing area history, ecology and more. Trillium Lake walks meet at Trillium Lake Sno-Park off Hwy 26, 2.5 miles east of Timberline Rd. Trip will be approximately three miles and offers views of Mt. Sustainable Forestry Tours
Ride along the tree farm bus, making stops along the way for short walks to get a closer look at woodland, reforestation projects, thinning and pruning demonstrations, watershed protection, wildlife habitat enhancements and wildfire prevention. Join volunteers for lunch, bring pot luck, or enjoy a private picnic either before or after your tour. Group size is limited. In Pursuit of a Dream Movie
Produced by the Oregon/California Trails Association. The movie was filmed in Wyoming and Oregon using 24 modern teenagers put in pioneer situations, traveling the Oregon Trail in wagons from Wyoming to Oregon City. This will be a benefit for the Clackamas County Historical Society with all proceeds going towards reopening the Museum of the Oregon Territory. In Search of...the Wild Mount Talbert!
Explore the springtime beauty of this unique lava dome as you wander through a white oak woodland in search of wildlife, spring blooms and geologic stories in the stoneshome to an incredible patchwork of habitats that provide welcome refuge for migrating songbirds. Learn skills and put them to the test as you search for the elusive Western gray squirrel, raptor nests and the beginnings of the spring wildflower emergence. Oak Lodge History Detectives Present: Ancient Neighbors
Herb Beals, author of three volumes on the history of Gladstone will speak on the earliest inhabitants who lived or passed through our neighborhoods. Some Indian children attended the area?s first school, sited near one of the last Clackamas encampments on the river. Clackamas and settlers? children played together, some forming fast friendships. Herb will also bring copies of his second volume covering the Great Depression and WW II to sell and sign. Volume III, Gladstone, OR: Civil War to the Evening of the Depression will be out in June.

Steiner Cabins Tour
Annual tour of handcrafted, 1920 ? 40 vintage, log cabins. Tour starts at the museum. Learn the history of the cabins in the Steiner Cabins exhibit. Drive on self guided tour to cabins in Government Camp, Rhododendron, Zigzag and Brightwood. Tickets are $18 per person, $15 for museum members. Down the River Clean Up on the Clackamas
Turning restoration into recreation, We Love Clean Rivers offers the recreation community an opportunity to give back to the Clackamas River. Class II+ and above boaters are organized into pods to run and clean up a stretch of river from Barton down to Clackamette. There are 75 spaces available in event rafts for non-boaters. Volunteer efforts are instrumental on keeping the lower Clackamas River clean as trash builds up on the river banks year after year. Event includes a BBQ & silent auction offering all kinds of river recreation equipment.
