ESTACADA
Known as the “Christmas Tree Capital” and the gateway to worldclass whitewater rafting and kayaking on the “Wild and Scenic” Clackamas River. Stroll the streets of the quaint downtown decorated with 12 public murals, the Spiral Art Gallery, Fearless Brewing Co., or experience the life of the Oregon Trail pioneers at the historic Philip Foster Farm. Home to the giant cinnamon roll at Harmony Baking Co., get your fill at the family-friendly Hitchin’ Post or enjoy the nearby Viewpoint Restaurant and Lounge.

GOVERNMENT CAMP
The village of Government Camp, located at the 4,000 ft level on Mt. Hood is becoming the quintessential Cascadian mountain village, and a premier year-round recreation destination. Skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts find the thrills they seek and come summer, the slopes at Mt. Hood Skibowl become an Adventure Park with 20+ attractions including an alpine slide. Learn about mountain culture and history at the Mt. Hood Cultural Center and Museum and the Arts Cabins Project or explore the tracks of the Oregon Trail pioneers along sections of the Barlow Road. A variety of dining and entertainment options can be enjoyed at the Mt. Hood Brewing Co., Charlie’s, Huckleberry Inn or the Cascade Dining Room at Timberline Lodge, just to name a few.

SANDY
The gateway to Mt. Hood recreation, offering travelers a mix of sporting equipment rental shops, quaint shops and restaurants, including Wasson Brothers Winery, The Oregon Candy Farm, Tollgate Inn, Calamity Jane’s and Joe’s Donuts. Don’t miss stunning views of Mt. Hood and the Sandy River from Jonsrud Viewpoint, and opening fall of 2006 visit the Sandy Historical Museum.

VILLAGES OF MT. HOOD
As you near the most significant elevation climb on Mt. Hood, you pass through Alder Creek, Brightwood, Wemme, Welches, Zigzag and Rhododendron – the Villages of Mt. Hood. This outdoor enthusiast’s playground provides Oregon’s best location to enjoy year-round recreation, alpine village shopping, wellness/ spa treatment and hospitality services within a unique cultural heritage area. Try Scottish-themed golf or croquet at The Resort at The Mountain, look through an underwater viewing window at Wildwood Recreation Site and Cascade Streamwatch, or get out and hike or bike one of the many trails in the Mt.
